Champlin is a city with a population of around 23,000 in Hennepin County.  It is a north suburb of Minneapolis and is right off of Highway 169 and County Road 12.  Located right off the Mississippi River, there are plenty of places to take in the scenery.

Champlin got its name from the family name of the US Navy Commodore Steven Champlin.  Champlin has great educational facilities and one of the largest schools in the state, Champlin Park High School.

Each year on the second weekend in June, Champlin is home to the Father Hennepin Festival.  Celebrating the history behind Champlin, the festival has been going on annually since 1976.
